Safety Notice
Tip restraint strap replace – Step 1/2
Dear Valued Caregivers,

Over the past 96 years, safety has been and will continue to be the priority at Pali. Our product development team is committed to designing products that meet or exceed all Federal mandatory and voluntary standards. Pali’s active involvement with product safety organizations such as the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) ensures that our products are of a quality and safety you can trust for your children.

We are notifying you that in 2014 Pali received one report of a tip restraint strap holding a Wendy Double Dresser to a wall breaking and allowing the unit to tip over. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

As part of Pali’s continued effort to provide quality and safe products, we implemented an improved tip restraint kit in 2010 that includes a more robust and safer restraint strap that securely anchors our furniture to walls. The new kit is designed to prevent furniture tip-over and is included with all Pali children’s furniture manufactured since October 2010 to present.

To alleviate any caregiver concerns, and in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Pali is conducting a voluntary recall on specific armoires, combos, dressers or bookcases/hutches sold separately or in certain collections manufactured from January 2006 through September 2010. We are offering caregivers a retrofit kit free of charge for use with the recalled products that contain the improved restraint strap, mounting hardware and installation instructions.

While waiting for your free of charge retrofit kit, you should immediately place the recalled armoires, combos, dressers or bookcases/hutches out of reach of young children. We ask that you install the retrofit kit with your furniture according to the instructions provided. Please do not hesitate to contact us toll free at (866) 840-4140 should you have questions about the repair or any other concerns.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Thank you for your continuous support!
